THE LIVING WORD FOR TODAY
TOPIC: JESUS PRAYED
If the Master, the giver of life can separates himself for purpose of prayer, it therefore means that, we all need prayer to be part of our lives . He set the example of how our lives should be in and out in prayer, day and night in prayer, morning and evening in prayer, etc
Jesus further, show us another example in Math 4:1-Read : Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
You see, The tempter ( the Devil ) came just after Jesus had finished fasting for 40 days and 40 night. And was hungry, Remember what hunger did to Esau, he lost his birth right to his brother because of hunger, but Jesus defeated the Devil and hunger. Here shows that, we can meet temptation at any given time, before and after serious prayer and fasting, this called for more spiritual alertness.
Prayer should be part of our daily routines, not when we encounter the devil's arrows before we consider that moment for Prayer. You should know that the Devil will not take permission from you before he strick, that mean you must always prepared for the battle just like the warriors in the battle camp.
Only constant prayer without fainting will produces result according to the Parable Jesus presented in Luke 18:1-7. He said that men need to pray without fainting, that mean, man need prayer all the time in and time out without excuses, without weaknesses, without hindrances and confusion.
In 1 Thessalonians ; 5:17 : the Bible introduced us to a continue prayer life without ceasing.
You must know that prayer is not to make the sign of the cross on your chest and said " In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost" then you move out to your business or laid down and sleep, Prayer is deeper than that. Prayer should be more serious than sign of the cross in the chest.
Fervent Prayer demands a good time to connect to the realm of the Spirit where things will begin to manifest in the physical, you must overcome the spiritual realm through your restless prayer life before you can manifest your vision and mission in the physical. that was what happens to Jesus after 40 days and 40 night fasting and prayer. He has to overcome the Devil before His ministerial manifestation.
Daniel prayed without ceasing for 21 days, little did he knew that there was a battle going on in the Spirit realm between the angel of God on his behalf with the Devil. Until the Devil was defeated as the archangel Micheal join forces with the messenger angel Gabriel, there was no answer to Daniel's prayer, see Daniel 10:12-13..
Daniel continually prayed until heaven recognized his voice and came for his rescued. so you too must be serious in your prayer life until something happen in the spiritual realm that will result in your miracles manifestation ....Hallelujah...
Hannah as a barren woman prayed continually with the whole of her heart for a better result that manifested the birth of prophet Samuel.
see 1Sam 1:1-20.. Hallelujah...That is to say that every condition or situation demands a serious prayer in order to achieve a desire result.
Don't be lazy in your prayer life and don't be too busy to pray, separate yourself from every Physical distractions that will hinders your prayer life, Jesus separated from His disciples to have a quiet time in prayer in order to achieve a good result.
