Pastor Sam Adeyemi, the senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos, Nigeria send an important message to Believers on why the absence of money does not mean that you are poor via a recent video posted on his official Twitter page.
According to him when he realised that the raw material which God use to create the world were intangible materials, he said fantastic and his thinking about money changed. He then said, "I said come to think of it, how much capital did God have when he was creating the world in Genesis 1. I found out that money was not even mentioned. Then the definition of poverty changed. It is not the absence of money."
He further said, "if it was the absence of money that made you poor then in Genesis 1 God was broke and we know He was not. Because he went ahead and created the whole world and I told myself I must find what He had. Because if I can have what He had then I can be rich even when I don't have money. I had to look closely and I realized that God said, "Let there be light" and I saw it in there. Why was he talking about light when they said everything was dark? Because in His mind, He saw light. He saw mountains, valleys, seas, ocean, rivers and even humans and he went ahead to create what he was seeing in his mind."
However this means that one of the things you need to overcome poverty is not necessarily money but light. With light God was able to create every other thing He saw in his mind.
