Prophet Isaiah Wealth, the Founder and Senior Pastor of the Gospel Pillars International Churches with Headquarters in Lagos sends an important message to his members. While speaking about the things they should not do when God deliver them from the problems, he advised them not to withhold and urged them to learn how to give.
He said that some people come to their pastors to pray for them and when they make 100 billion naira, they see a tithe of 10 billion as something too much to give. They'd find it difficult to give God 10 billion naira. They can give a tithe of N2500 or even N 50,000 but as the money increases, they find it difficult to give. Then they begin to say, tithing is not real, it is not of God.
According to him, they are saying that because they don't want to pay the tithe. They are afraid of releasing that money so they try to find a doctrine and a pastor who condemns tithing. It's a strategy to withhold such money. Speaking further, he said that if you don't know how to give to God, how can you give to man?
Finally, giving is a biblical doctrine and as Christians, we need to know how to give. Give your tithes and offering to God and give alms to beggars. Because the Bible says "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom." Luke 6:38
