The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God spoke to the parents in the church as he preached on "Blessed Fruit". The man of God spoke of how Abraham's devotion and obedience to God earned him a blessing that is still affecting his generations. Abraham's lifestyle ensured that his children and grandchildren were blessed of the Lord. The man of God read from the book of Proverbs 13:22 which says
"A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just"
Just as Abraham left inheritance of blessings for his children, the man of God informed his members that the future prosperity of their children is in their hands. The cleric said that the moment God can locate one as someone who is addicted to worshipping him, he will give him enough blessings, so that he can leave an inheritance to their children.
The man of God said that in every family, there's a man that start the blessing just as Abraham started his. So therefore as Christians, we have to make worshipping God a top priority. It would be to the good of ours and also to the good of our children. The man of God however asked that will you be the one to start the blessing of your generation. Someone has to stand in the gap for the future generation and will it be you? Answer that question in your mind
In conclusion, one has to acquire the wealth of God because it is one which will last long. It is only the wealth of God that will stay and survive many generations. We also have to create a fellowship with God so that we can attract his blessings into our lives and into our family.
