Woman's head: To cover it or not while praying, and or in the church. What does the Bible say?

Honestly I am not surprised that most of us the Christians find it difficult to do what the Bible says. I know and the Bible confirm it that the way to the kingdom of God is not only narrow but strait as well hence the master himself said, strive to enter through it. The devil also is fighting tooth and nail to make sure he wins many souls to hell at the end.

Whether the woman should cover her head during prayers and or in the church is what we want to consider together here hence I am going to quote here the passage that talks about it in the Bible so that we can see it together. There and then you will be able to know whether you, your daughter, wife, sister, aunt, friends, neighbours and mates are doing what the Bible says or not during prayers and or in the church.

Here goes the passage concerning the covering of head or not but I am going to quote in parts as it relates to the topic. However, I implore you to read the whole chapter from the beginning to verse 16th.

I am referring to 1Corinthians 11 that goes thus:

Verse 2:

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

verse 3:

But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ: and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

verse 4:

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head.

verse 5:

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoreth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

verse 6:

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

verse 13:

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

verse 14:

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

verse 15:

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for hair is giving her for a covering.

verse 16:

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

Please I want you to go through the quoted passage above more than once and prayerfully too to be able to know what God is saying to you in the passage concerning coveting of head or not by a woman during prayers or in the church.

Please read verses 5&6 again and again.

The Bible is saying in those verses specifically that a woman should cover her head while praying or prophesying but if the woman doesn't want to cover her head, let her be shorn or shaven. However, if it is a shame for her to be shorn or shaven, let her cover her head. Do you understand?

I have heard people say, dishonoring her head who is the man is not a sin and I laughed. I know why there is too much controversy about this, it is because the Bible did not say any woman who prophesieth or prayeth without her head covered will go to hell or it is a sin but they forgot that every disobedience to the word of God will take one to Hell.

Hello! If you don't like covering your head praying or prophesying, then you have an option in the word of God and that is go and shave your hair. Simple. But if it is a Shame for you to shorn or shave, cover your head while praying or prophesying. Simple!

Another controversy but which is not a controversy at all is in verse 15.

It says but if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. People say their hair is given to them for a covering hence they don't have another covering on their head.

Please ask them, the Brazilian hair or any other type of wig they put on to the church, is that their long hair that the Bible is talking about? If you want to rely on this verse 15, then leave your hair uncovered to the church if you know it is long enough to the standard the Bible is referring to as a glory and a covering.

You cannot put on wig of whatever quality and leave it uncovered and hide under the verse 15 above. Who are you deceiving God, man or yourself? Or would you say the Brazilian hair is your covering?

If actually you believe that the word of God is written through inspiration of God as it is stated in 2Timothy 3:16-17 you will not go against whatsoever is written therein.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Beloved, is it that you don't want to be perfect when our master says be ye perfect or you don't want to profit from the scripture that is given through God's inspiration? HABA!

Someone says, holiness is simple obedience to the word of God. Don't be a disobedient child.

Okay, let me say this, leave your hair uncovered for your husband only to admire at home if you must uncover your hair.

A word is enough for the wise they say. Don't contentious just like Paul said in verse 16.

WHAT IS YOUR OWN TAKE ON THIS MATTER,?

Thanks.
