The narrative of Lot's Wife is one of the bible's most captivating and yet tragic stories. It is one that teaches all Christians to not let the troubles of this life cause us to lose our lives or our souls. When God decided to demolish Sodom and Gomorrah, he sent an angel to carry Lot and his family out, because they were the only ones worth preserving. The angel hurriedly escorted Lot, his wife, and their two daughters from their home and led them to a hill. He instructed them to run to the mountains and not to look back. So they raced on, but Lot's wife turned back, curious and longing for everything she had at Sodom. As a result, she transformed into a pillar of salt in an instant.
The amazing thing is that this salt pillar she became is still standing today. The narrative of Lot's wife has been passed down since then, and the position of the pillar has not been forgotten. Pilgrims have claimed to seeing and even taking small bits of the salt lot's wife. Scientists and Bible scholars have also confirmed that the Bible's reference to Lot's wife is correct. Here are a few of the images:
The salt pillar has reportedly grown distorted as a result of weather and other circumstances. However, if you look attentively, you'll notice something. It has the shape of a slender human, such as a lady. As a result, it's very likely that this is her salt pillar, as claimed.
The story of Lot's wife will continue to be a lesson for Christians until Christ returns. She ignored a basic command and was quickly struck.
God's vengeance is unpredictable, therefore we should never take his mercies for granted, as she did.
May God provide for us.
