Bible Reveals The Reason Why Some Christians Still Struggle With Sin And The Possible Solution

The relapse back to sin can be frustrating for most Christians especially if it is frequent or if it is something the person does not want to do but can't help himself/herself accomplish the right thing to do. The commiting into the temptation could lead to regrets and tears.

Many have tried to find solutions that they thought might help. Some probably might have fasting, others prayed meanwhile some bought various books that still probably haven't help them achieve on purpose - to overcome sin.

So in the bible scriptures that we'll be reviewing together in this article, we'll look at the possible cause and the possible best solution. May God help us.

Sin is a matter of cause and effect. You sin not because you want to but because there is a nature formed in you that pushes you to sin. It's like a switch, it does what it's meant to do.

The only way to stop the sin is to take away the 'nature' then you'll be truly free indeed.

Christ took away the nature when he died on the cross Rom 6:6 l; This is what 'Christ died to take away the sins of the world' means. He now proceeds to give us a new nature without sin Rom 6:6. We are literally born again but of God, since God is righteous (and not sin) he cannot give birth to unrighteousness. There when you give your life to Christ you don't have the ability to sin again according to 1 John 5:18 "We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him" (paraphrasing).

But there's a possibility to get that 'old nature' of sin back and that's the loophole. Sime christians embrace that old nature back unknowingly to them

One of the possible reason for this besetting sin, is a reason people tend to ignore frequently. The reason is because there is what we regard in our heart that we may do above God and this happens subtly that it might even go unnoticed. Let me explain.

Many people can spend money on food, waste time on games, some even on data, our affection is either set on thing or the other and that affection/attachment to that substance (money, time, family, loved ones, some even love themselves).

Loving these things are normal but when you see you can't spend this time/money for God as the way you do for these things but you subconsciously esteem those things that even if your last penny were spent on them, it wouldn't really matter to you, that's where the problem starts. You have probably found your own idol.

Ezekiel Chapter 14:5 reads "That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.". These idols estrange man from God.

When you become estranged from God, you are Foreign to him and that iniquity becomes a stumbling block between you and God. This affects the answers to your prayers.

So how do these idols relate to sin?

Romans 1:21 reads thus: "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." (KJV)

Your heart is automatically giving to vain imaginations and darkened just because of these idols. This is why one of reasons egy the old nature of sin still remain in men despite the fact that God took it away through Christ Jesus.

So what's the solution? Spot out what you hold dearly and let it go. Some people value jewelry, their hair do, some clothes, some their technological gadgets, some family. Just pray God helps you spot it so you can give God your 100%.

The second solution is prayer, one which many of us have done already but remember Luke 18?

The only person that loses this battle is the gentle. Be violent enough to cry to God DAILY (DAY AND NIGHT EVERYDAY) that will get what he wants in the end. Even when the answer seems not forthcoming, pray. Start now!! God bless you.
