Biblical Explanation Of 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 - The Rapture.

The rapture is an unexpected occurrence that might take place at any time of the day. This is the belief of Christians, the sole reason Jesus Christ came into the world to save mankind. It is the sudden catching away of the saints, both the living and the dead (for the dead shall rise first) to meet the Lord in the air and so shall they ever be with the Lord.

The rapture was supposed to be a mystery, an event that should take man unawares but due to God's tender mercies, this mystery was revealed to apostle Paul, which he revealed to the Christians in 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 :

51. Behold I show you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed

52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.

Paul revealed that the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and at the last trump, the saints of God, believers who lost their life in the battle field for Christ, shall be raised first, and then, the living saints which are alive at the time of the sounding of the last trump, shall also be caught up in the air to meet the Lord in the cloud and so shall they ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).

In conclusion, every believer should have this mindset that one day, within the twinkle of an eye, Jesus will appear and the toils and sufferings of Christians will come to an end for in heaven, there shall be no weeping nor gnashing of teeth. May God help us in Jesus name, Amen.
