God Is Honored By Our Tithes And Offering

Someone once remarked that the most sensitive nerve in the body is the one that goes from the heart to the wallet. There are many ways to honour the Lord.

Honour originates in our hearts and refers to the value we personally place on someone or something. When we honour God, we are demonstrating the high regard we have for Him. One of the ways God expects us to honour Him is bringing of our tithes and offerings to His house.

Pastors teach about tithes and offerings but tithes and offerings are not the creations of Pastors God instituted it as a core principle of His kingdom economy (Lev 27:30; Mal 3:10). Tithe means a tenth or 10 percent, and it's the first part of your income. Whenever you bring your tithe to God's house, you are saying, God, I love you. I'm thinking of you. I acknowledge you as the first in my life.

God is honoured cach time we worship Him with our tithes and offering. Hence, the injunction "Honor the Lord by giving him the first part of all your income and it is most likely that He will feel dishonoured when we don't. Are you honouring the Lord with your tithes and offering or do you need to repent from not honouring the Lord with your tithes and offering?
