4 Biblical Verses That Explain Why Some Christians Die Young

God came into the Earth for a purpose and we have to fulfill that purpose before we will leave the Earth. The Lord has plans for us and inorder to fulfill those plans, we have to live totally for him. There are many cases of youths who have lost their lives due to various reasons and though it is painful, we have to understand that it is the will of God. Here are 4 Biblical reasons why some Christians die young:

1. Sin

In Romans 6:23, the Bible says:

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is important as youth that we avoid sin because it is a very fast killer. The Bible makes us to understand that the wages of sin is death and if you don't want to die you need to surrender your life totally to Jesus. If you are living in sin then it means you are a child of the devil and he can take your life anytime he likes.

2. Fulfillment

In 2 Timothy 4:7-8, Paul says,

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

Another reason why people die young is because they have finished their assignment on Earth. Here Paul told Timothy has finished this course and he has kept the faith, so if death comes his way, he is ready to go back to his creator. Therefore, irrespective of one's age, if one is fulfilled, death could happen anytime.

3. Persecution

In 2 Timothy 3:12, the Bible says:

"Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted."

Persecution is another reason why Christians die young. The Bible already made us to understand that those who live a godly life will be persecuted and some of them will even die during that persecution. Fortunately enough, they are to rejoice because their reward is in heaven.

4. God's Plan

In Job 1:21, the Bible says

"And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

The same God who took prophet Elijah and Enoch home at their youthful age, left Methuselah to live for 969 years. He gives life and takes life so we don't question Him. If God says it's your time to die today, you don't have choice.

In conclusion, there are other reasons why youths die but you just have to be ready at any time. Live a life that your maker will be proud of so that if you die, He will receive you joyfully.
