I am about to tell you one of the most incredible stories humankind has ever heard, and maybe because this goes as far back as the first humans, but this incredible tale would open your vision to things beyond your knowledge.
His came is Tartaros, and he was the first and oldest world scribe, saddled with the responsibility of documenting the evolvement and progress of the human race from the very first human till date. But it was not always so. He used to be human. Here’s how the story began:
Once upon a time, when the world was crude and the first humans were but a shadow of what they are now in terms of intelligence and advancement, a strange, but powerful and mighty creature grazed the face of the planet- full of beauty and life. The deity, impressed with what he saw decided to settle and observe the beauty and promise this planet held, and alas, He laid his eyes on the first humans, more impressed he was. He thought the human race showed promise, perhaps they could be molded and mature into a force to reckon with, a congregation of loyal followers who would revel at this existence.
However, this deity was kind and patient, or so I thought. He decided to give the humans time and years and years passed, he watched them, but the more time passed, the more he began to see the flaws that the humankind possessed. These flaws made their progress slow, and at this rate, they would never reach their full potential, he thought.
They were in every way, cruder than he thought, and not just in intelligence and evolvement, but in character traits, and these traits disgusted the deity, for he was perfect, true and spotless.
It pained him to behold the backwardness in attributes that the humans possessed, they were not in line with his perfection and his desire for how the human race should be.
First, he noticed that the humans were cowardly, they lived in the wild, but they lived in fear. They had not the valor to take their territory and conquer the wild, the direct opposite of the deity who was powerful, strong and full of valor.
Despite their obvious cowardice, the deity also noticed that the humans felt too full of themselves, they were the highest and best of all the other creatures and as such, they basked in their mastery of their planet and made boast all the time. The deity thought this was completely absurd and that the humans were full of pride, they lacked humility, unlike the deity thought himself the most humble creature in existence.
Another thing the deity realized was that the humans were usually self-absorbed. They cared only for themselves and showed no empathy or pity for anyone else. They were selfish and only cared about themselves. Empathy was one of the attributes of the perfect deity, so he frowned at the lack of it on the part of the humans.
As time went on, the deity began to make more discoveries, this time about how much the humans held grudges and lacked forgiveness, they were bitter when wronged and lacked the element of mercy which the deity had in fullness
They also lacked integrity. They would do and allow anything that made them feel or look good, even if those things are misleading and deceitful. Also, they lacked honor, the way the human race existed, the strong preyed over the weak and no one did anything about it. The deity thought this was unfair and a major flaw in the human attribute. There was also no system of law or justice in the way the humans set themselves up. Anything went among the humans, and order was non-existent. After seeing all of these things, the deity felt displeasure in the human race, if only they were as perfect as he. Eventually, he aims to correct the maladies that the humans’ exhibit, and that was how Tartaros was born.
Like I mentioned, he used to be a part of these imperfect human race, in fact, he was an orphan - a nobody, but the deity picked him for some reason and installed some of his perfection. He needed me to record the story of how he changed and improved the human race and with one touch and one breath from His lungs, he became the first enhanced human.
Gifted with wisdom, observance, speed, omnipresence, and immortality, a slice of the deity himself, and he was honored to be bestowed such privilege, and so his duty began.
For the next few centuries, a thousand years to be exact, tartaros stood by the deity and recorded everything in his scrolls. The progress and advancement of the human race.
The first 200 years, the humans moved from their Stone Age ways to discover inventions like Fire, irrigation and even wheels
The next 800 years, the human race advanced the more and discovered metallurgy, thus ushering in the Bronze Age!
All through these advancement, he did not relent, he recorded everything, just as the deity wished and as the years flew by, he took a strong liking to tartaros and grew fonder of him. He was the perfect specimen of a human, he said, or at least how a human should be.
And I think that it was at that moment he first had the idea to change the entire human race to be as perfect as he. Tartaros was an example that it could work and so he plunged into a mission of perfecting the human race with his own attributes ushering in the significant EIGHT AGES, and EIGHT ARTIFACTS.
He gave eight artifacts to the human race by placing them within reach in the planet.
And as he placed these artifacts close to the river by their village, head dutifully recorded them all, and just as we had anticipated, the humans found these artifacts, but never used them!
They were impressed by them, fascinated even.
However, they were also scared because they did not know where these artifacts came from, unknown to them, each artifact had the power to infuse them with the qualities and traits of the deity himself, and make them like him – Tartaros, the first of his kind and perfectly enhanced human.
