The study of Anatomy has to do with the identification and description of the structures of living things, especially that of human being. The study of Human Anatomy involves cutting up human organism otherwise known as cadaver.
While the traditional method of studying the structures of living things which involves dissecting organisms had been replaced with modern technology which is capable of showing how the inside of a body works, the method is still prevalent in Nigeria.
Following a recent report by BBC, a medical student at the University of Calabar identified as Enya Egbe discovered that the cadaver which his group was to use for Anatomy practical happened to be his missing friend, Divine. He became terrified and he couldn't stand the sight. He immediately took to his heels.
He said that his friend had gone missing for weeks. No one knew his way about or what had happened to him until that fateful day.
Enya told the news correspondence that they used to go clubbing together. They have been friends for seven years. There were two bullet injuries in his abdomen.
He said that he later related the news to his friend's family and they finally reclaim his body.
