Man by nature is a political animal, what did Aristotle mean by this statement.

Aristotle was an ancient Greek philosopher who operated in many fields of Philosophy. He has propounded many theories through out his existence and most of those theories are still used till this day. When he was alive, he said that "men by nature are political animals", am sure you have been hearing of this statement your whole life but you didn't know the meaning, let's have a look at what he meant by that statement.

According to his belief, men by nature have the power to reason in a normal way and men are also social creatures by nature. He goes further to say that the state is created by the nature of man, this was what he meant by saying men are political animals. He also says that anybody that does not have a state is below human standard, he says that person is a lawless and heartless person.
