A 51-Year-Old husband, Abubakar Aliyu, has narrated the challenges he is facing in the early days of his marriage to A Kubwa Grade I Area Court located in Abuja.

According to Aliyu testimony, his 17-year-old housewife, Khadija Akarami, ran away five days after they tied the nuptial knot on June 1, 2020. Aliyu explained he went through the necessary process by paying Akarami bride price and His wife Akarami admitted to introducing him to her parents as her fiance before they eventually got married.
Abubakar, however said he wanted his wife back home but if she still refused, he would demand that her family pay back all he spent for their wedding.
Akarami In her testimony stated her reasons for running away and insisted she was no longer interested in the marriage.
Her Father Musa Muhammad told the Court that his daughter stayed in her matrimonial home for three weeks before leaving.

The Court have now ordered Akarami to return to her matrimonial home and urged her to make peace with her husband.
