A parent's love for a child can be quantified neither can the love from a child to his/her parents be quantified. This is the case of prominent Nigerian celebrities who go to extreme ends to make their parents happy in life and even after death.
Let's have a quick read of Nigerian, affluent individuals, who have celebrated their late parents extravagantly at their burial ceremonies.
1. Obi Cubana
Nigerian billionaire businessman and serial entrepreneur Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana is one of those people who would go to any lengths to display his love for his late parent even in death.

The Nigerian business tycoon, recently took to his media to announce the passing away of his mother last year December. He followed up by also announcing the burial ceremony and rites would occur on the 16th of July 2021 which happens to fall today in his hometown, Anambra State. Since the announcement, social media has been set in a frenzied state as the occasion has been rumored to be an extravagant one, especially since news broke that Cubana had received a total of 346 live cows from friends and well-wishers, for the upcoming occasion.
Several Nigerian celebrities and prominent individuals have also taken to their social media to show support for the bereaved Cubana, promising him of their presence at the occasion and Cubana himself stating that he was going to make the event one that will be spoken of across cities.

Cubana's pledge towards making the burial event a memorable one, was not a bluff as the news of the event is currently the talk of almost every social media outlet in Nigeria, The event is said to be filled with dignitaries, and the presence of naira and foreign currency notes litter the environment where the occasion is happening.

2. Mike Adenuga
Mike Adenuga, Nigerian business tycoon and founder of Globacom Ltd, is another personality who celebrated the demise of his mother in the grandest way possible. The business mogul lost his mother on January 27th, 2005, on the very day she turned 80 years of age.

The occasion was said to be graced by many important personalties, many of whom were top Nigerian government officials. Although the burial ceremony and interment took place at the Church of Resurrection, Anglican communion in Lekki, friends, and well-wishers of the bereaved Adunage were entertained in grand style at the family's hometown in Ijebu-Igbo.

The even was one that was reported to have lasted days, as people from every corner of the state turned up to celebrate the occasion held in honor of the deceased. Food and drinks were said to be in abundance and there were cases of leftovers littered across town as there was more than enough to go around.
Mike Adenuga was also said to have built a cathedral, and a mission house at the compound where the deceased was laid to rest to honor his deceased mother.
