As lovely and sweet relationships seem, a lot of people can’t put in enough work to maintain one because relationships can be very tough and demanding, especially for the serious people who want a long term relationship.
Although it is said that relationships don’t have a manual, that is what works for one person might not work for the other, but there are still some rule of thumb to follow if you want your relationship to last long. There are some specific dos and don’ts in every relationship, if you can abide by them, then there is a very high chance that the relationship would last long.
So, in this article, I’ll be sharing some 3 major things I think every couple need to stay away from if they want their relationship to last long. Here they are;
1. Intruders; a lot of people these days are pretenders, they just want to poke nose in your relationship and scatter it. So, it is very important to keep your relationship away from being a public affair. If you hear something about your partner from a third party, make sure you confirm from him/her before taking action. Outsiders can easily scatter your relationship.
2. Secrets; keeping secrets in your relationship can easily deplete the trust in your relationship if one of the secrets leak. So, make sure you’re truthful and open minded with your partner, don’t keep secrets from them, as this can easily scatter your relationship. Anything you feel is too big to tell your partner is not worth it.
3. Make Believe; your relationship is between you and your partner, so anything you’re going through should be within you guys, you don’t have anything to prove to others, so make sure you're not pretending about your relationship just because of what others will say. Being real brings more satisfaction and joy, so be real with yourself and your partner if you want your relationship to last long.
