Psychologically, a girl and boy's body is ready for intercourse at the age of 18, as stated by Medicalnewstoday. Many hypothesis could imply otherwise, but there is a rational explanation to why scientist have said that 18 years should be the ideal age for one's body to be ready for s£xual intercourse. Firstly, why should men stay away from s£xual acts before they turn 18 years of age?

A man's body usually go through different transformation in stark contrast to ladies. As guys approach puberty, they begin to experience an increase in testosterone level and general changes in their body. At this stage of their life, they begin to notice and understand what the hardness of their male organ is.

At the ages of 9 to 15 when boys and girls usually experience puberty at it's peak, but it has been proven that girls are more mature emotionally when compared to boys. At this age, the boy is not emotionally balanced to manage the psychological influences that comes with s£xual activities. According to Medicalnewstoday, when a boy passes 17 years or the adult phase which is stated to be 18 years of age, they begin to make better decisions and can appreciate the aftermath of their decisions. At this age, the body becomes capable of coping with the emotions attached to intimacy.

Secondly, why should women stay away from s£xual acts before they turn 18 years of age?

Ladies develop totally differently from men as their bodies undergo number of physical and mental changes that sometimes affects their mood. Even though girls develop and gain more stability emotionally than boys, it is advised they still wait until they turn 18 years old to engage in intercourse. This is because they are still under developed physically and not ready to experience any hormonal change before 18 years. Based on a recent study, girls who engage in s£xual acts before 17 years are more likely to be faced with depression when compared with those who wait until the stipulated age.

Medicalnewstoday has stated that even though ladies gain more emotional intelligence than men at a particular age, they might not be able to completely control their emotions, and consequently, s£x before the age of 18 may carry more emotional burden for women than men. This is because of the natural conditioning of a girl's body, and not due to the fact that they are intended to be delicate or little.

Whatever it may be, boys and girls should know that s£xual activities comes with some physical and psychological baggage.
