Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is an infection of the upper female genital tract, including the uterus, fallopian tube, ovaries and cervix. It cause the inflammation of the female reproductive organs. It is usually caused by sexually transmitted infection. Pelvic Inflammatory disease symptoms maybe misunderstood for another disease if correct diagnosis is not taken. Untreated pelvic Inflammatory disease can lead to scarring, abscess and infertility.
Pelvic Inflammatory disease is usually caused by sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrhea, Chlamydia etc.
Signs And Symptoms Of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
The followings are the possible signs and symptoms of PID
1. Unusual discharge from female genital part
2. Irregular menstruation
3. Pain during sexual intercourse
4. Frequent Urination
5. Fever and fatigue
6. Lower abdominal pain
7. Lower back pain
8. Pain in the pelvic area
9. Spotting or bleeding between period
10. Nausea and vomiting
11. Genital discharge with odour
