There are certain situations whereby women celebrate divorce after they have been through difficult situations in marriage. These women do not see marriage as an opportunity for them anymore and they instead want to create opportunities that will allow them explore other men.
Relationship therapist, Blessing CEO has stated that it is alright for a woman to celebrate divorce because it is an opportunity for her to make better choices.
Okoro Blessing made this statement as a caption to a video she posted of a women who bought a cake to congratulate herself for divorcing her husband. The woman in the video looked very happy to finally be divorced.
Blessing CEO also likened divorce to freedom and stated that there is nothing wrong in letting people go for the sake of freedom.
Many would argue that the statement that Blessing CEO made shows that women who are living in bondage while married have options available for them if they are courageous enough. However, one must always all possible methods to make a marriage work before exploring divorce.
