A marriage proposal according to wikipedia, is an event where one person in a relationship asks for the other's hand in marriage. If accepted, it marks the initiation of engagement, a mutual promise of later marriage. In some Western cultures it is traditional for the man to make a proposal to the woman directly while genuflecting in front of her.
A lot of people will always want to make their marriage proposal a memorable event for their spouses. Such is the case of a guy who proposed to his girlfriend while taking her out on an helicopter cruise.
