Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo, the wife of Bishop David Oyedepo sends an important message to couples via a post on her official Facebook page.
She said, "I encourage you not to keep your parents in the dark about your relationship. Learn to listen to your parents, because they have been down the road and see farther than you do." So couples should not keep your parents in the dark about their relationship because of their experience. They have been down the road and they have seen many things. So it is important that you speak to them and learn how to listen to them.
It's quite unfortunate that today, couples wants to keep everything hidden from their parents. They want to be independent and wouldn't even want advice. It is important we give them some information that are not confidential about our relationship. It is important for them to know so that they can help when needed.
