Popular Nigerian author and Lawyer Temilolu Okeowo has revealed that it is very disrespectful for a man to tell a woman that she must get pregnant for him before he ask for her hand in marriage.
She said this in response to a 35 year old Anonymous woman who claimed she is still a virgin because many men want To get her pregnant before marrying her.
Temilolu responded by commending the woman for keeping herself intact. She added that Any man demanding such from a woman has no respect for women.
She said: "I must also say it’s the height of disrespect for any man to tell a woman to get pregnant first then he’d proceed and ask for her hand in marriage, least of all tell a mature virgin that. Such a man can never treat a woman right, he would always lord himself over his wife and make her feel he’s her saviour! How disgusting. May our daughters never end up with such men".
She said even though there are more women than men, a good woman will always have someone that will marry her.
