Feminism is no longer a new word in Nigeria, has it as began to gain grounds in the minds of young women in the country.
Feminism is about all genders having equal rights and opportunities, more about respecting diverse women's experiences, identities, knowledge, and strengths. Feminism is about empowering women to realize their full rights.
In reality, Nigeria feminists are really taking this feminism too far, as it has now become a trend for them to always attack the opposite gender in any given opportunity. It seems they always lurking around waiting for their next victim.
Feminism was introduced to the society to help the girl child gain equal opportunity just like the male counterpart, in areas like education, exposure to political seats, and even earning the same amount of salary as their male colleague in the place of work.
It is meant to give the girl child a voice and now it seems this voice is becoming to grow higher and louder, and it is swallowing up the male voice and most Nigerian men are not finding it funny, thereby tagging these feminist as bitter women who have suffered daddy issues or Terrible relationships. So they hide under the umbrella of feminism to taunt men, and they are not buying this new.
Recently Pastor Adeboye celebrated his wife on her birthday with a message from his twitter and account. This message did not go down well with these ladies, as they came out in numbers to comment on the tweets and their disapproval of the message.
Below is the screenshot of the message.
According to them, The General Overseer did not celebrate her as a wife but instead like she was just a household or someone who justs helps him in house chores, cutting of nails and running errands. Here are some of the comments.
This has fueled upmost Nigerian men, to the extent that most of them have vowed not to get attached to any lady who identifies as a feminist. To them, these women cannot be controlled and they do not want a woman who would fight for the head position with them.
