I Was Very Depressed When my Fiancé Left Me Because I Sell Herbal Concoctions — Nigerian Lady Says

A lady that specialises in the selling of herbal concoctions (Agbo) shared her life journey experience by revealing some of her most depressed moments to BBC Yoruba.

The lady identified as Eniola Fagbemi, a native of Oyo state, who stated that she sometimes hawked her products, revealed that she had sold herbal concoctions to people around the world, from those in the USA to Australia, and that whenever she wanted to send her herbal products to people outside the country, she would take the items for a photosynthesis test in the laboratory to certify the product for safe usage.

She revealed that one of the most depressing times was when her fiance left her because his parents didn't approve of their relationship because of her chosen line of profession. She noted that most Nigerians believe that herbal concoction sellers are herbalists or spiritualists, which is not true because herbal concoctions only use leaves, roots, and herbs to prepare their medicine without having consultations with any Oracle.

Eniola Fagbemi reveals that she is happy about her type of job as it has served as a good source of income for her and has never allowed her to go hungry.

What is your believe on people who sell herbal concoctions?
