A lot of us are still unable to distinguish between wants and needs and this causes us to make many mistakes. We need to be able to separate our wants from needs for many obvious reasons but first let us distinguish between the two terms.
Needs refers to those thing that we cannot do without. Those items that are vital to our lives like food, clothes, house e.t.c. while wants refers to those things that we desire to have. They are not important to our existence.
Now, let's know why it's important to be able to distinguish between these two words.
The first thing is it saves us from spending Recklessly. When you are able to distinguish between wants and needs, you will know where to put your money. You will know your priorities and it will save you a lot of money.
Being able to distinguish your wants and needs will help you appreciate the little things in life. You won't feel the desire to keep up with the latest phone, shoes or go on wasteful trips.
