Again, Gunmen Abduct 5 Members Of Same Family In Kogi Community.

Gunmen have abducted five members of the same family in Adabode-Sabo community in Kogi-Kotonkarfe Local Government of Kogi State.

This is coming barely 24 hours after gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers abducted three sisters of the same family in the Eteh-Okofi village of the same Kogi-Kotonkarfe Local Government of Kogi State.

APC govs are enemies of workers – TUC.

The Ekiti State chapter of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, has described some Governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as enemies of Nigerian workers.

TUC Chairman in the state, Sola Adigun said APC governors sponsored the bill seeking the removal of the national minimum wage from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent list.

Adigun alleged that some APC governors contracted a House of Representative member from Kaduna State, Hon. Garba Muhammed to initiate the wage reclassification bill in the National Assembly.

Reps ask FG to hire foreign mercenaries to fight insurgents.

The House of Representatives has asked the federal government to hire foreign mercenaries to combat Boko Haram insurgents.

The House made the resolution following a motion moved by Abdulkadir Rahis on Wednesday.

Mr Rahis’ motion called on the federal government to re-strategise in the fight against insurgents.

However, Mansur Soro, moved an amendment to the motion, calling on the government to consider foreign paid fighters in the anti-terror war.

Be Wary Of Fani-Kayode, OPC Warns Sunday Igboho.

The Oodua People Congress (OPC) has warned popular Yoruba activist, Sunday ‘Igboho’ Adeyemo against trusting the former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode.

Oyo state coordinator of the OPC, Comrade Rotimi Olumo, gave the warning in an interview with reporters on Wednesday.

Olumo advised Igboho to be wary of Fani- Kayode’s antic and deceit because he is so smart in causing disunity in Yorubaland.

FEC approves N500m variation for road project in Delta.

Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs, Sen. Godswill Akpabio made this known when he briefed State House correspondents, at the end of the Council meeting, chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Council Chamber, Abuja, on Wednesday.

According to him, the road is a project of the Niger-Delta Ministry, which has already attained 97 percent completion.

He said: The Ministry of Niger-Delta Affairs presented two memos today at the Federal Executive Council and both were approved.
