The gun battle between the security operatives and the unknown gunmen lasted for several hours before they were finally overpowered after the military had sent reinforcement from the 34 artillery brigade, Obinze, in Owerri.
This is a good news as the Nigerian Police and Military continue to rid the region of criminal elements.
In recent times there has been series of attacks on security operatives in checkpoints and Police stations by unknown gunmen who have also freed several people in detention.
We pray that the Nigerian Police and Military continue to record more successes in the fight against insecurity not just in the Southern region but through out the whole country.
