Drama In ABSU Law Faculty As Student Is Found With Used Sanitary Pads And Other Stolen Items

A 400 level student of the Faculty of Law in Abia State University Uturu has caught with used sanitary pads and various items which some students have identified as belonging to them. This happened in the Boys Hostel in Umuahia.

Reporting directly from the scene, the issue began when a student complained that his food items including a large bottle of groundnut oil and 3 rows of sachet tomatoes had been stolen. He accused Azubuike (the 400 level student) of being responsible for this.

However, the porters who were keen on clearing the issue, decided to search Azubuike's room. It was then that some stolen items were discovered as well as used sanitary pads. The porters also found out that the young man had been occupying a single room in the hostel for some years now without paying for the space.

When asked from where he got the sanitary pads, he claimed that his sister had given them to him to burn them as she didn't want them burnt at their house. Meanwhile, efforts to contact his sister proved abortive and the question of why he hadn't burned the pads since he resumed school remained unanswered. Other women items like a shoe, pants and bra and tights were also discovered during a thorough search by the security officials.

Many items were recovered from him like the little purse containing passports of one Smart Amadi, a 100 level student who confirmed he had been looking for the purse and passports since he resumed school in January this year. Also, a charger, two power banks, four SIM cards and a 32gb memory card were recovered from Azubuike.

When, Azubuike could not provide answers as to where he obtained the sanitary pads, the porters decided to involve the student affairs and security who took him away for the mean time.

Most students who commented on this expressed surprise at the actions of the young man whom they saw as a very prayerful. In fact, he was praying in tongues at around 12 am this morning.

As it seems, Azubuike will be leaving the hostel as he hasn't paid accommodation fees for over two years and might be facing lots of charges concerning the sanitary pads with blood stains and stolen items he was caught with.

What do you think should be done to Azubuike?
