(Video) Did You Know The Full Meaning Of POLICE? Assaulted Lagos Police Gives Details

The Nigeria Police Force has for long been relegated to the lowest altitude, no respect for this government representative in our midst, though the reason is not farfetched, it is known to every Nigerians this particular unit of the military has sold its birthright for penny; bribery has consumed all the dignities and honours of the Nigerian Police. 

Some of them discharge their duties unprofessionally, assaulting the innocent civilians just because they’re armed or they thing they are above the law. Because of N20 bribe, police can pull trigger and waste the life of the innocent soul. 

However, ‘from a black pot comes a white pap’, according to a Yoruba proverb, a Nigerian Police, ASP Sunday Erhabor has shown the world that not all Police are corrupt and troublesome by exhibiting a high level of professionalism and perseverance even at the height of fierce provocation while on duty. ASP Erhabor

According to the viral video shared on different social media platforms, ASP Erhabor was assaulted by one Victor Ebhomenyen at Four Points Hotel on Saturday; the suspects were stopped by the officer for allegedly driving against the traffic.  

But on last Monday, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, gave an honorary award to Sunday Erhabor, for maintaining professionalism despite being assaulted by civilians.

During an interview with the Punch Newspaper, the Police gave a remarkable thing that many people didn’t know about the word POLICE, ASP Erhabor gave the meaning of POLICE as thus: P for Polite, O for obedient, L for Loyalty, I for Integrity, C for Courage and E for Endurance.

He then thanked all Nigerians for their support and advised his colleagues to always be patient, tolerance and be endurance. He said: “You should not allow your anger to overwhelm you, control your temper, if you apply all these; you will scape through your job”.
