In the early hours of today (Saturday), a Mercedes truck fell into a river popularly known as Water-Side or Riverside along Ikot-Ekpene road in Aba north local government area of Abia State.
According to a news outlet (Aba Times News) that shared the development on its page on Facebook some hours ago, the accident happened after the driver of the heavy-duty truck lost control on the bridge that runs across the river.
An eyewitness who gave an account of the incident disclosed that the truck brushed a tricycle (Keke Napep) before it finally fell into the river.
However, no life was reportedly lost in the accident. As of the time of writing this report, the truck is yet to be evacuated from the river.
