The presidency confirmed that while the attempted burglary of Chief of Staff occured at about 3:00am on Monday morning, that of the admin officer who lives on the same street with Gambari happened last week Thursday.
The tweet reads in part:
"The police, in a related development is searching for a suspected burglar who unsuccessfully attempted to break into the house of Maikano Abdullahi on Thursday, last week. Maikano lives on the same street with the Chief of Staff, close to the Villa."
Recall that many Nigerians expressed shock after report filtered in about how some armed robbers evaded security operatives and attempted to burgle two of President Buhari's aides residences within the premises of Aso Rock.
Meanwhile, although Peoplesgazette reported that the robbers packed money and other valuable assets from both houses, the Presidency referred to the burglar invasion as unsuccessful.
To this end diverse reactions have continued to pour in, with many expressing utter shock on how the burglars were able to beat all security operatives checkpoints, invaded the two residences and also left unnoticed.
Many others also seized the opportunity to call on President Buhari to immediately do arrest the escalating insecurity crisis in the country, as it seems the elite which are presumed insulated from it are now being affected.
Recall that of recent, some politicians and government officials have had a horrible experience in the hands of criminal elements troubling the peace of the country.
But in your view, what do you think is the implication of this incident on the security architecture of the country ?
