Yet to be ascertained number of passengers have been reported dead in Ebonyi road on Saturday, as a vehicle skidded of the road and fell into an excavator pit of about 32 Feet deep.
According to Channels Tv, the accident which occurred around 1: 30pm on Saturday at Enyigba -Izzi community along Abakaliki-Ikwo road on Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Meanwhile, one of local divers who involved in the rescue of the victims confirmed that the vehicle involved in the accident was a shuttle bus.
Report confirmed that men of the Nigeria Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were around scene to ensure free flow of traffic.
In a related development, no fewer than twenty five travellers have been reported killed and fourteen others injured by unknown gunmen, along Rukuba road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Saturday morning.
