"My neighbour kidnapped my 4-year-old son, sent letter to me not to look for him" Man

According to a news that was posted by Daily Trust Newspaper online this morning, it was made known that a man whose name was given as Mallam Ismail Musa, residing in Tudun Jukun, the ancient city of Zaria, Kaduna State, has narrated how his 4 years old son who was abducted by his neighbour, who later demanded for ransom.

According to what he said, Musa made it known that his son was abducted after they both returned from prayers at a mosque located in the area on 14th of May, 2021.

He said the kidnappers attempted to lure his son with biscuits, but he didn't answer them, as they forcefully held him and took him away on a motorcycle they brought.

Mallam Ismail Musa further said that later in that day, they started searching for him, as they could not find him, going from one police station to the other, as they also went to different hospitals searching for him.

Musa said, “While we were receiving neighbours who were on sympathy visit, we received a letter which said we should not bother looking for the child. The letter demanded two million naira as ransom and a phone number to reach the abductors for further negotiations was also written.”

However, after they got this letter, they reported the issue to the Police Station at Tudun Wada, Zaria, as he was advised to call the mobile number written in the letter.

After calling the number and they both negotiated, his son abductors agreed to collect the sum of N60,000 from him, but he eventually paid the sum of N50,000 into an account number that the kidnappers gave him, as the boy was set free on the 20th of May, 2021.

However, the mastermind of the kidnap, Sani Uwal-luwa of Layin Mahauta, who happens to be his neighbour was apprehended through the help of his girlfriend, who informed the police and community leaders that her boyfriend brought the missing boy to her to keep for him, but she rejected, because he didn't give her solid information concerning the boy.
