Mike Abattam, the State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed this in Owerri.
“Four workers were killed in the incident, one of whom was a police officer. Others were also injured by gunshots, according to the police.
However, authorities stated that they have begun an investigation into the killings and that no arrests have been made yet.
Furthermore, community sources stated that for the past four months, there have been attacks on oil facilities in the oil villages of the State's Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area. They blamed it on a dreaded criminal group.
“That is how they kidnapped the Board Chairman of a reputable company, and he has been kidnapped for three months,”.
“They have a gang in these our oil communities that has been troubling us, terrorizing our people, and generating tension,” They're also behind the kidnappings you hear throughout the months.”
