A pregnant woman has allegedly fallen down from the Delivery bed during child labor and died at the Ogwashi-uku General hospital in Delta State.
According to the report gathered, the woman, who was pregnant with her first child had fallen into labor late in the night and was rushed to the General hospital. The nurses on duty however didn't pay full attention to her as it was said that they went to sleep while the caregiver of the woman went home to pick somethings.
The Caregiver later came back to meet the lifeless body of the pregnant woman on the floor while the nurses on duty were sleeping. The family of the woman has however gone ahead to rant and express their disappointment at the incompetencies of workers of the Ogwashi-uku General hospital.
Reacting to the incident, the Spokesman of the state police command, DSP Bright Edafe stated that he is not aware of the incident as at the time of filling this report.
