After months of foot-dragging, the eastern governors finally did the needful yesterday by setting up their regional security outfit coded named "Ebube Agu" to curb the rising insecurity in Igbo land. It is a case of better late than never.
For the past few months, most states in the southeast have been battling a high rate of violent crimes security formation which came to head last week with the attack and setting free of more than 1800 inmates in Federal Prison in Owerri.
The security agents in the region have continued to accused Eastern Security Network (ESN) a militia arm of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra (IPOB) as the brain behind most of the attacks and criminalities that have been going on in the eastern states.
Whatever it is, I think both parties need to collaborate to fight one single enemy that has been killing innocent people on the farm.
This is not the time to display the battle of supremacy. First of all, they all need to unite in taking down these monsters in the backyard before we can now sit to decide what to do with ESN.
