Gunmen kill Former Education Secretary, Kidnapped 20 Travellers In Nasarawa

In another sad development on the insecurity crisis facing the country, reports gathered have showed that some gunmen have killed Malami Salihu, a former education secretary of Nasarawa LGA of the state and kidnapped 20 other people who were traveling through the state.

According to TheNation, the sad incident was said to have taken place on Tuesday afternoon at Gadabuke area of the state, when the victims were traveling and were ambushed by the gunmen who took them into the bush.

Consequently, while the kidnappers were said not to have made any contact to any of the relatives of the victims, the dead body of late former education secretary, Malami Salihu, was said to have been found beside a nearby bush.

Recall that of recent, there has been a spike in the criminal activities in the Northern region of the country, despite the efforts of the Nigerian military to flush them out.

Consequently, many have urged the Buhari-led administration and the Nigerian military to change their tactics in tackling the worsening insecurity situation in the country.
