Fire Razes Sabo Market In Oyo, Destroys Goods Worth Millions

Several shops were burnt at the popular Sabo Market in Oyo town. According to P.M new report, the fire started at around 10 pm yesterday, Tuesday.

The chief fire officer of Oyo state, Mr Moshood Adewuyi revealed that the fire emanated from a nearby dumpsite that was set ablaze and was not monitored.


13 Arrested In Lagos For Alleged Involvement In Cyber Crime

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Lagos branch has successfully arrested 13 guys in Lagos yesterday, Tuesday for alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The commission revealed that they were arrested in their hideout, Gabriel Ajawa close, Lekki, Lagos state and they will soon be charged to court.

Court Sentence A 39-year-old Man To death By Hanging For the Murder of 2-year-old Baby

A high court in Abeokuta, Ogun state has yesterday sentenced a labourer, Mohammed Ibrahim to death by hanging for killing a two-year-old baby. The convict was also found guilty for attempting to kill another person identified as Rabi Yakubu.

According to the Nation report Mrs Yakubu who was with a 2-year-old baby went to ease herself in the bush. On getting there, she dropped the baby on the ground to defecate when Ibrahim attacked her with the aim to cut off her head.

After escaping from his hands, she run to call for help without carrying her baby. When Ibrahim saw that he didn't succeed on cutting her head which he needed for sale, he cut off the baby's head.

Food Blockade From The North to South Will Not Lead to Crisis

The Lagos state commissioner of information, Mr. Gbebga has assured Lagosians that food blockade from North to South will not result to food crisis in the state. He further revealed thatt food security is guaranteed despite the crisis. "The is no need for anxiety" he said to Lagosians.

He established that the state governor, Sanwo Olu is working hard to bring it to an end.
