It few days now since a video trended online after it capture the moment that showed how a one-leg lady was hawking water on the street despite her condition.
The video triggered a lot of reactions and the later lady was identified as Mary Daniel. She was interviewed and according to her, she lost one of her leg after she was involved in a ghastly accident that claimed the live of her parent and other passenger inside the bus. She said she was the only one that survived it and since then, life hasn’t been easy for her. Many people were touched emotionally by her story and pitied her.
Currently, Mary Daniel has finally meet with the Lagos State Government, through the special Adviser to the Governor on Civic Engagement, Hon princess Aderemi Adebowale. Babajide Sanwo-Olu have rescued her and has assured her safety for a better future.
But before she was handed to the Lagos State government, a lot of donations were made to the poor girl by well meaning Nigerians such that as at the time (3:42pm) today, she had allegedly received a donation of #14,301,811.71 (fourteen million, three hundred one thousand, Eight hundred and Eleven Naira seventy one kobo).
It amazing how her story has changed, the lady went through a lot, but now her tears are been wiped off. What do you think about this?
