Many may not know much about the Nigerian flag, but however it dawned on some when a photo of the house of the man who designed the flag went viral on social media prompting many to give various reactions, as would be seen in this article. Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi designed the flag of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1959 when he was just a 23 years old student, and this has non the less led go various comments and responses from people, after his house surfaced on the internet.
Honour is indeed something that should be given or done to those who deserve such, and Michael Taiwo, no doubt deserves the honour after his design on the national flag. However, according to a social media user who shared the photo of the house of Taiwo Akinkunmi, where it saw a little bungalow, thus leading to some noting that Michael should be given the respect needed, the care, support and ensure that what he did for Nigeria by designing the flag would always be remembered.
While some beckoned on much care and attention be given to him, others pointed out that the government isn't that responsible to ensure for all his needs, as he his still been taken care of. Nigerians on social media who took turns to react, applauded him on his little contribution he could make, when he was barely a student many years back. According to the photos shared, others questioned the condition of the toilet shared, as can be seen in the photos.
