The latest attack on the police officers and soldiers have occurred in Anambra State on Thurs 18 March, 2021. According to the daily post news the unknown Gunmen have attacked police officers in their post at Neni in Anaocha local government of Area of Anambra State on Thursday and the Soldiers at Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State on the same day. The Gunmen Killed the police officers and soldiers in their respective duty posts, burnt the police van and carted away their riffles.
The identity of the attackers is not known. Meanwhile the police public relations officer in the state Tochukwu Ikenga has confirmed the report and said that police has swung into action to unravel the mystery surrounding the attacks on security agents.
The question that comes to my mind is what could be the intention of the Gunmen to unleash terror on the security agents on their duty posts. It is terrifying that if the security agents are not safe, who else is safe?
