News reports have comfirmed that gallant officers of the Lagos State Police Command,Alakuko, had successfully arrested 4 suspected cultists.

The apprehended cultists were discovered to have come from Ogun State for counter attacks on rival cult members at Junior Secondary Schools, Akinyele,Alakuko.

The suspects were identified as18-year-old Tosin Balogun, male,15-year-old Sunday Dare, male,14-year-old Jubril Olayinka, male and 15-year-old Sani Babatunde.

Muyiwa Adejobi who is the incumbent spokesperson for the police in Lagos, in a statement, disclosed that Balogun and Olayinka are students of Odewale Community High School Ijoko Ogun State. He also told the newsmen that Babatunde is a student of Tunik International School, Dalemo Alakuko while Dare is a tailoring apprentice at Alakuko.

It is understood that the policemen had received information on the prepared counter attacks on their rivals in the school and quickly mobilised to the area .

Incriminating items like cutlasses, weeds alleged to be Indian hemp and various charms were retrieved from them.

Meanwhile,Adejobi disclosed that the state police Commissioner CP Hakeem Odumosu, has instructed that the suspected cultists be transferred to the Command’s Special Squad, Ikeja, for proper investigation and possible apprehension of other members of their gang.

In my opinion, the bulk of the blames goes to the parents or families who fail to properly bring up these children.
