A CCTV footage has emerged online showing the moment a dismissed Nigerian police corporal identified as Daniel Aaron was caught on camera stealing a mobile phone within the police IRT commander’s office in Abuja.
From the video shared on Instagram by ‘WITHIN NIGERIA’, Daniel, who hails from Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State, stylishly walked towards an Infinix S5 mobile phone being charged by a police officer—he unplugged it and made away with it.

However, with the aid of the CCTV footage from the police station, the 37-year-old former police officer was apprehended.

Upon interrogation, he revealed that he immediately took the phone to Maraba—where he sold it to one Abdul for N37,000, and part of the proceeds were sent to his family for his children’s school fees.
Daniel also disclosed that he was dismissed from the Nigerian Police Force in 2014 after accidentally shooting and killing his colleague.
He is currently being held at the police station for further investigation and prosecution.
