A Nigerian young man identified as Gift Kenneth has been nabbed by gallant operatives of Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFFC) for defrauding an American lady identified as Lucinda Ann Garnes, the sum of $902,935, which is about three hundred and seventy-one million naira (371 million naira).
Gift Kenneth after being tried by Justice F. A. Olubanjo of the Federal High Court, Asaba, Delta State, on internet fraud was found guilty and sentenced to three years imprisonment alongside his mother and girlfriend whom were accomplices.
However, Kenneth and his mother were sentenced to five years imprisonment or a fine of three million naira each, while Kenneth's girlfriend was sentenced to two years imprisonment or with a fine of one hundred thousand naira.
