#14.6 Billion Worth Of Jewellery Has Been Seized From The Ex-minister, Diezani.

You would quite agree with me that the rate at which some amount of money/properties are being recovered by the appropriate authorities is indeed increasing as each day passes. For example, some weeks ago, it was reported that the money James Ibori looted has been recovered, and the amount was worth €4.2 Million.

However, as reported by Sahara reporters, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has seized the jewellery of the former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, which is worth #14.6 Billion.

Abdulrasheed Bawa, who is the chairman of the agency, made this known in Abuja today at the House of Representatives Adhoc meeting. After ascertaining the fact that the seized Jewellery is still much intact with them, he also made it clear that the jewellery would not be auctioned off.

Aside the seized jewellery, the EFCC boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa, also made it known that the houses that were also seized from Mrs. Diezani, were worth $18 Million, and converting that to naira, it is approximately #37 Billion.
