In the video Chidiogo Akunyili shared via her Instagram account, her father Dr chike Akunyili, bought an entire wheelbarrow of plantain off an old woman who was selling by the roadside.
Chidiogo Akunyili explained that her father was on his way home that day he saw the old woman with a heavy wheelbarrow full of plantain, he then went home got the right amount of money he needed and returned back to were the old woman was and bought all her plantain.
In the shared video, Dr Chike Akunyili could be seen counting some N500 notes while the old woman was in a happy mode, rejoicing, dancing, and praying for him. Dr Chike then gave the money he counted to someone beside him saying "nothing is as good as giving joy, count it and give it to her".
In conclusion, Chidiogo Akunyili thanked everyone for their condolence messages in this time of immense mourning, she said their joy is knowing that they do not grieve alone and they hope that their father's death will not be in vain.
Recall that Dr Chike Akunyili was shot dead in the eastern part of the country while returning from an event held in Anambra state, were his late wife, Dora Akunyili was honoured.
