According to Temitope, 'so I have a Toyota Corolla which was registered in Lagos. The car was moved to Abuja in 2019. In 2020 the vehicle paper expired and I renewed the vehicle paper in VIO HDQ Abuja.
Today, around Abule Egba I was stopped by VIO and was told they want to verify my vehicle particulars which I gently complied. Before I knew it, I was handed a sixty thousand Naira ticket that my vehicle particulars are not valid,' he said.
Temitope further revealed that he explained to them that the vehicle has a Lagos plate number but the paper was renewed last year in Abuja. One of the senior officers asked him to proceed to their head office in Ojudu Berger and in getting there, he met series of officers and he was made to understand that one cannot a Lagos vehicle licence outside Lagos. That the renewal he did last year in Abuua will not be accepted hence, he will have to pay the sum of sixty-thousand Naira.
