The land of the ZULU kingdom in South Africa was today the 19th of April thrown into mourning when Goodwill Zwelithini lost the battle in cool hand of death, he was hospitalized for treatment of diabetes before he finally take a bow in early hour of Friday.
The 72 years old was longest serving King of the ZULU kingdom, the country's largest ethnic group, Zwelithini ascended to the his father throne in 1971 after the death of his father.
The Zulu Royal family is currently meeting with government officials to plan the King's funeral, but no date for his burial yet. The South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa announced late Friday that the king will be given a special official funeral which entails Ceremonial elements provided by the South African National Defense Force. The President also ordered the National Flag to be flown at half-mast at every Flag station in the Country from Saturday morning until the evening of the king funeral service.
A week of mourning has been declared in the Province of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal as he survived by wives and children.
