In some parts of Lagos, you pay 'omo nile' fee before you're allowed to fence your land. You pay again when you start building proper.
Then you pay again when doing german-flooring. You also pay when roofing the house. Before plastering, doing finishing touches, you pay again
Dear Governor @jidesanwoolu,
Kindly do something about this old, persistent extortion and illegality.
A Nigerian man also narrated how the land sellers extorted them, he said
This is exactly what happened at the site I was working yesterday, the fence was pulled down by the youths after paying #120k for The omo ni le.
The Lagos state government should consider looking for a way to end this extortion from Land sellers to encourage more people to invest in real estate.
