Fulani Herdsmen Ran Away After Their Cows Allegedly Killed A Father Of A Newborn Baby In Oyo State

A 30 years old man known as Benjamin Oyelade was allegedly killed on September 21, 2021, by Fulani cows which ran across Atakpa road in Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State.

According to SaharaReporters, Mr. Benjamin Oyelade was killed when a group of incompetent Fulani Herdsmen stormed Atakpa road for grazing but couldn't control their cows which ran into a 30 years old man and killed him.

SaharaReporters also added that when the herdsmen saw Benjamin Oyelade die on the scene, they immediately ran away from the place, abandoning their cows.

Benjamin Oyelade's wife, Olawunmi, reported the incident to the Oyo State Police Command. She told them that her husband had earlier scheduled September 23, 2021, as the christening ceremony and house warming party for their newborn baby.

The Oyo Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, promised Olawunmi that discreet and proper investigation concerning her case is going on and it won't stop until the suspects are apprehended and brought to justice.

Benjamin Oyelade was rushed to the hospital were it was seen that the horns of the cow hit his skull and damaged it.
